Warrant Issued for Illegal Alien With Drug and Identity Theft Charges

A warrant for the arrest of an illegal alien accused of possessing heroin and cocaine with the intent to distribute and stealing the identity of an autistic Puerto Rican man was issued Friday when the suspect did not show up for court in Massachusetts.

“Quincy police are on the lookout for Hairon Manuel Antuna Martinez, aka Carlos Esquilin. He had arrived in Quincy District Court early Friday morning but left before his pretrial hearing,” according to The Boston Herald. “The 36-year-old who police believe is from the Dominican Republic has been charged with identity fraud/false impersonation, forgery of document, and using a false/stolen RMV document.”

According to a November 2018 update from the Quincy Police Department:

“The 36 year old male from Roxbury was placed under arrest and transported to the station for booking on the charges of, ‘Marked lanes, Defective equipment, Unlicensed operator of a motor vehicle, Identity Fraud, Forgery, Uttering, Fraudulently obtaining a Mass. driver’s license, False name to Police, Operating an unregistered/uninsured motor vehicle.’ The male uttered the same stolen identity when he was arrested by Medford Police in 2016 for ‘Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin and Cocaine.’ Both of those charges are open out of Somerville District Court.”

Despite the charges, Martinez was freed on bond and was not detained by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) or U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The state of Massachusetts is engulfed in a vicious court battle over whether ICE will be allowed to detain suspects after court appearances.

The manhunt for the illegal alien comes as the political class in Washington, D.C. struggles to secure the border.

Big League Politics reported:

As illegal border crossings surge, Democrats blocked a meaningful amount of wall funding in the 2019 federal budget. President Donald J. Trump declared a National Emergency to address the issue, with plans to divert Department of Defense funding for the project, for which several heavily-blue states immediately sued his administration.

In addition to failing to deliver wall funding during 2017 and 2018, 12 Republican Senators voted against the president’s emergency wall funding, including Sens. Mitt Romney (R-Utah), Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), and Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska).
