CNN Conspiracy Theorists Say Trump Skipping Correspondents Dinner is ‘Attack’ on Press

A pair of RussiaGate conspiracy theorists at CNN who spent the past two years attempting to destroy President Donald J. Trump are now characterizing his refusal to attend the White House Correspondents Dinner as an “attack” on the media.

Brian Stelter characterized Trump’s refusal to indulge the corporate press as “another example” of the Trump “administration’s attack against the media.”

He justified his claim by whining that Trump is “having a rally this Saturday instead of attending the dinner and I do think it matters mostly because what it means about these tensions continuing to escalate.”

Stelter appeared on CNN Newsroom with fellow anchor Brooke Baldwin.

“You know, say what you will about the press, this is an event that honors the First Amendment,” Baldwin said.

Stelter replied with a diatribe, playing the victim:

Yes. That’s what it’s about, It is an awards dinner and a fundraiser. In the past, presidents have shown up even if they were angry at the press at any given time and, importantly, it’s useful for White House aide to smooze with reporters. It’s helpful for us to get to our sources. There’s some value in these sorts of festive events, but it is, as you said, another example of a tradition at least being put on pause during the Trump age.

When will the self-important hacks at CNN realize that they are unimportant shills of the Democratic Party establishment, and that this sort self-aggrandizement is unbecoming? Perhaps never.

“And it is no secret the President likes to insult the free press but now we’re learning the White House is actually telling the administration officials so boycott the dinner celebrating the First Amendment,” Baldwin whined, reiterating her point that somehow skipping the event is an affront on Americans’ Constitutional rights.

CNN can pretend that it deserves your respect. But after attempting to sabotage a duly elected president, it doesn’t. And it never will.
