FBI Raids Home Connected to Russian Multibillionaire Oleg Deripaska

The FBI raided a home connected to Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska in Washington, DC on Tuesday, amid reports the multibillionaire is under investigation for links to organized crime. The federal agency confirmed reports of a raid to Fox News, confirming that “court-ordered activity” was occurring at the extravagant mansion.

Mr. Deripaska was a target of sanctions leveled by President Donald Trump’s administration, with then-Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin accusing Deripaska of corruption. The Russian Federation’s post-Soviet economy continues to suffer from domination by oligarchs such as Deripaska, who secured personal ownership of large state-owned industries that were denationalized under the administration of President Boris Yeltsin. Contrary to disinformation circulated by mainstream media, President Trump’s administration was harsher on Russia than that of any post-Cold War US president, with President Joe Biden in actuality proving far more lenient that his predecessor, who insane conspiracist liberals had claimed was a puppet of Russia.

Deripaska has been unable to obtain a visa to enter the United States for several decades, with authorities citing what they allege to be the oligarch’s connection to organized crime in Russia. The mansion raided on Tuesday isn’t directly owned by Mr. Deripaska, but rather one of his relatives with the legal ability to enter the Untied States.

Paul Manafort had been convicted for financial crimes that involved a relationship with Deripaska as a result of Robert Mueller’s Russia probe. None of the crimes involved President Donald Trump, with Manafort facing charges for acting as an unregistered agent for Ukrainian politicians affiliated with Deripaska in the mid 2000’s.

Special Counsel John Durham continues to investigate FBI misconduct and false allegations of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, in a probe possibly connected to the raid on Deripaska’s mansion.
