Raleigh Police Chief Orders Cops to Stand Down and Allow Rioters to Loot and Destroy Property

Raleigh, N.C. Police Chief Cassandra Deck-Brown has announced that she will not order law enforcement to protect property, essentially giving free reign to rioters and looters who currently engaged in a nationwide orgy of destruction.

“There were several incidents, including an incident that happened in the park and in New York, that was nothing but systemic racism,” said the affirmative-action hire Deck-Brown as she babbled through her script of victim jargon. “So, when we look in the mirror, and we talk about racism, it’s not just the law enforcement side of it. It’s embodied in the greater community, and we have to own that as well.”

To stop “systemic racism,” Deck-Brown is telling cops under her control to refuse to uphold their mandate to protect and serve so racial justice can be doled out to white business owners in the city.

“I will not put an officer in harms way to protect the property inside of a building,” Deck-Brown said, according to Indy Week news reporter Leigh Tauss.

Despite announcing that cops will refuse to protect society, Deck-Brown also issued some rhetoric against rioters who are attacking police in the city.

“The actions of the violent, lawless crowd that damaged our city and attacked officers and assaulted officers last night was disgusting and unacceptable,” she said. “These actions tarnish the message of those who peacefully demonstrated.”

“It was not until after the crowd began to throw bottles and rocks at officers that the Raleigh Police Department escalated their response,” Deck-Brown added. “And while I hear and I understand the frustration felt in our community and throughout the country, destroying our city is not the answer.”

Raleigh Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin expressed her heartbreak at what is being done to her city by the mob.

“Last night was both heartbreaking and devastating,” Baldwin said on Sunday. “In all my years, I’ve never quite seen anything like this.”

“What took place were two very different experiences,” Baldwin added. “One, hundreds of people coming together in the late afternoon to have their voices heard in peaceful and respectful ways. It was the way protests in our city have always happened. Second, there was a group of people who came in the dark of night who had no intention of protesting peacefully. Instead, their goal was destruction, theft and violence.”

The forces of “destruction, theft and violence” will be empowered due to policies announced by Deck-Brown. The rule of law is under attack as cops are being ordered not to keep order.
