FLASHBACK: Nikki Haley Bows Down to Political Correctness by Removing Confederate Flag

In today’s political climate, short-term memory is all too-common.

Politicians with suspect track records can immediately re-brand themselves as firebrands after the spotlight is no longer on them and their handlers are able to re-invent their image behind the scenes.

Nikki Haley embodies this concept.

Many people forget that it was 4 years ago when she decided to remove a piece of South Carolina history.

On July 9, 2015 Haley decided to remove the Confederate flag from the South Carolina statehouse grounds.

Haley’s decision to remove the flag was largely motivated by the Charleston Church massacre, where a gunman murdered nine people at a black church.

Once it was discovered that the murderer was linked to white supremacist organizations, Haley felt compelled to act.

Nevermind that many individuals fighting for the Confederacy were not slave owners, and were fighting to defend their homeland from Union forces. This flag serves as a symbol of Southern tradition of honoring ancestors who fought in the brutal American Civil War.

But for Haley, she had to something.

Her removal of the Confederate flag earned her a lot of praise from the political establishment.

She even went on Don Lemon’s show to discuss her decision to take down this piece of Southern history.

“I think the more important part is it should have never been there,” she opined. “These grounds are a place that everybody should feel a part of. What I realized now more than ever is people were driving by and felt hurt and pain. No one should feel pain.”

Her decision in 2015 has opened up a Pandora’s Box, however.

Now, iconoclastic Leftist activists are attempting to remove Confederate monuments left and right.

It would be a mistake to believe that they’re just going to stop with figures of the Confederacy.

They now have their sights set on the Founding Fathers. All in the name of fighting “racism”.

It would behoove conservatives to do their homework on who they end up supporting in high stakes elections.

Haley is already making moves to solidify herself as a presidential candidate for 2024 and beyond.

A Haley presidency would represent more of the same neoconservative global democratic crusading and perpetuation of PC culture that establishment Republicans have done for decades now.

In short, a Haley presidency would put America last.
