Twitter Censors ‘All Content’ From The Epoch Times Without Reason

Twitter isn’t even hiding it anymore; they are actively silencing political opponents, and are beginning to do so without explanation.

As Daniel Payne of Not The Bee would describe it: “our social media overseers are increasingly doing away with pretense and just springing for straight-up no-holds-barred censorship.”

The latest victim of Twitter’s Orwellian banning spree is the Epoch Times, which is having “all” it’s content censored on the platform for seemingly no reason.

“Twitter on July 28 imposed a blockade on all content from The Epoch Times without explanation, raising further concerns about freedom of speech on the platform and drawing ire from three U.S. senators,” the outlet reported.

“The platform enforced a warning on all links from The Epoch Times. A click on a link directs users to a page titled ‘Warning: this link may be unsafe,’ which prompts users to return to the previous page,” they added. “‘The link you are trying to access has been identified by Twitter or our partners as being potentially spammy or unsafe,’ the warning stated, citing Twitter’s URL policy.”

As the Epoch Times would explain, they have reached out to Twitter multiple times seeking clarification but have had no response.

Furthermore, as Payne would state, this “escalation of tactics” of “one of the most popular upstart news organizations on the Internet” is surely going to spark a backlash from conservative voices.

Senator Marco Rubio, for instance, has already declared the move “an act of censorship.”

“Twitter is blocking all links to @EpochTimes, including a story about a human trafficking survivor, and labeling them as ‘spammy’ and ‘unsafe.’ Twitter must explain itself for this outrageous act of censorship,” Rubio wrote on Twitter.

Of course, this blatant censorship against one side of the political aisle is not new.

Just last week the platform began banning, suspending, and locking out users for using the word “groomers.” They claimed that it was being used as a way to spread “anti-LGBT” rhetoric. And the platform even locked out Gays Against Groomers, an account on Twitter that describes themselves as “a coalition of gays against the sexualization and indoctrination of children,” as a result.

The “hateful” tweet from the account that got the attention of Twitter read, “Damaged people damage people. The internet is a dangerous place for kids, especially when you have radical alphabet activists openly grooming them. Protect your children from these people at all costs.”

Before all that, Twitter goons marked various conservative-leaning voices as spreaders of this damaging “anti-LGBT” rhetoric. Author and mathematician James Lindsay was one example. And another was YouTuber Tim Pool for stating the now obvious: “Twitter actively protects and supports pedophilia.”

The account “Moms for Liberty” was also suspended for speaking out against the medical gender transition of children.
