2021 Report: Americans Spent More In Taxes Than Food, Clothing, Healthcare Combined

The US government wastes trillions of dollars per year, and yet, they still want more of American family’s hard earned money.
Perhaps because there are more woke projects that need funding, or that Ukraine needs an extra couple of billions. We all must suffer under an out-of-sorts Federal government with a major “print now, deal with later” spending issue.
But just how much are Americans wasting in taxes each year?
According to a new report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Americans spent more on taxes in 2021 than food, clothing, and healthcare combined.
“Once again,” Senator Rand Paul shared.

Per CNS News:
According to newly released data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Americans in 2021 once again spent more on average on taxes than they did on food, clothing and health care combined.
During 2021, according to Table R-1 in the BLS’ Consumer Expenditure Survey, American “consumer units” spent an average of $15,495.28 on food, clothing and health care combined, while paying an average of $16,729.73 in total taxes to federal, state and local governments.
So while Americans face the consequences from Democrat’s out-of-control spending, thus forcing many families to move to “buy now, pay later” apps to cover the costs of skyrocketed grocery prices, the Uncle Sam tax machine is still plugging away.
“On average in 2021, American consumer units spent $8,289.28 on food; $1,754.39 on clothing (apparel and apparel-related services); and $5,451.61 on health care,” CNS News continued.
“That equaled a combined $15,495.28.”
“At that same time,” the outlet continued. “American consumer units were paying an average $16,729.73 in net total taxes.”
Ouch. Budgeting has become so difficult for the average American family that they are utilizing interest-free short-term loans to cover purchases.
“But the fines for late payments can be steep, and critics fear their ease of use could lure shoppers into dangerous debt,” the Daily Mail explained.
Of course, this will all snowball on top of itself in due time. Americans are spending too much money they shouldn’t have to.
Not to mention a majority of their income is going back into the DC blob to fund a bunch of progressive initiatives, like green-energy, that are only going to make life worse.
