ACLU Fights Pennsylvania School District To Let Kids Change Gender Without Parental Consent

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) in Pennsylvania is fighting to let kids change their gender without parental consent.

We’ve seen this trend of isolating parents from how their children express themselves sexually increase in recent months. And we are now seeing Democrat lawmakers push to punish moms and dads who do not subscribe to the child gender transition narrative.

Sounds like the ACLU is beating that same drum.

From National Review:

On October 6, the ACLU filed a federal discrimination complaint with the civil-rights divisions of both the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Department of Education, accusing the Central Bucks School District of engaging in “illegal discrimination.” 

The district has chronically failed “to take reasonable and necessary measures to address persistent and severe bullying and harassment of LGBTQ+ students generally, and gender non-conforming students in particular,” the complaint states.

The left-wing organization also accused district leaders and the Republican-led school board of “enacting blatantly discriminatory practices and policies targeting LGBTQ+ students.”

According to the ACLU, it is discriminatory for parents to intervene or even reject their child wanting to go by a different name in schools. In addition to wanting to identify as a different sex and or gender.

In practice, teachers (or in other words, the state), would have more access to the child than their parents. 

The ACLUE also claims that it’s discriminatory for teachers to not be allowed to showcase flags or banners that represent radical gender theory.

As always, the left is vehemently opposed to the natural order of things. And they view parents as the biggest obstacle wedged between LGBTQ propaganda and children. 

So it makes sense as to why they want to remove moms and dads from the conversation entirely.

The policies the ACLU is targeting in Pennsylvania have generally been supported by conservative parents nationwide: barring the school staff from socially transitioning students with gender dysphoria without their parents’ consent, allowing community members to challenge library books they believe contain age-inappropriate or sexualized content, and prohibiting teachers from displaying politically divisive flags or other materials in their classrooms.

But to the ACLU, those policies and directives are examples of discrimination targeting LGBTQ+ students. In a prepared statement, Witold Walczak, the legal director of the ACLU of Pennsylvania, said all students deserve a learning environment where they can “be their full selves without fear of being bullied.”

Of course, the ACLU is ignoring the possibility of predators targeting so-called transgender and gender non-conforming students in school. In fact, they are enabling them with this complaint.

All under the guise of allegations of discrimination, harassment, or bullying.

The goal of the leftist ACLU (and many other Democrat controlled institutions that involve children) is simple: kids must be liberated from their parents in place of the state.

This is the issue Republicans ought to run on and fight against.
