After Pedophilia Scandal Firing, Disney Rehires James Gunn to Direct Guardians of the Galaxy 3

Disney Rehires Pro Pedo James Gunn

Hollywood director James Gunn, who was fired by Disney after thousands of his pro-pedophile tweets surfaced, has been rehired months later to direct the third installment to “Guardians of the Galaxy.”

Deadline reports that Gunn was rehired by Disney two months ago, and that they believe the massive outrage over Gunn’s disgusting pro-pedophile tweets is no big deal because it was led by “alt right journalists.”

Deadline reported:

The decision to rehire Gunn –he was fired last July by Disney after alt-right journalists made public a fusillade of decade old social media missives that made light of pedophilia and rape — was one that was mulled and actually made months ago, following conversations with Disney studio leadership and the team at Marvel Studios. Why the change of heart? After the firing, Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn met with Gunn on multiple occasions to discuss the situation. Persuaded by Gunn’s public apology and his handling of the situation after, Horn decided to reverse course and reinstate Gunn.

Gunn was fired after 10,000 disgusting tweets featuring lines like “I like it when little boys touch me in my silly place,” “The Expendables was so manly I f*cked the sh*t out of the little p*ssy boy next to me,” and “‘Eagle Snatches Kid’ is what I call it when I get lucky.” surfaced on social media.

The majority of observers were rightly disgusted, but Gunn attempted to claim these tweets were being misconstrued by “alt right journalists.”

Occasional #NeverTrump conservative Ben Shapiro likely paved the way for Gunn’s return by defending the pro-pedophile director last year as the rest of the right wing media was unified in its utter disgust.

Big League Politics reported:

But while Disney couldn’t defend his tweets, Gunn found an ally in #NeverTrump loser Ben Shapiro, who quickly jumped to his defense.

In a tweet, Shapiro called Gunn an “a**hole,” but stated that his firing sets a bad precedent and was a mistake.

While Shapiro did call Gunn an “a**hole,” that doesn’t negate the rest of his tweet, and what he was defending. Shapiro claims that these were “old joke tweets,” but they aren’t even close to funny. Gunn depicts violent and indecent acts towards children with zero attempt at humor.

Shapiro and other #NeverTrump conservatives were among the only ones defending the disgusting tweets, which almost all advocated rape of small boys. Disney remained silent while the anti-Trump right defended the actor, paving the way for his return to the company.

Erick Erickson and David French, two noted #NeverTrumpers, echoed Shapiro’s defense of Gunn’s pedophilic tweets. Erickson later deleted his pro-Gunn tweet, but French claimed that even though the tweets were disgusting, “This is not how we judge people.”

Gunn’s unlikely allies likely created the room for his return to Disney. In addition to “Guardians of the Galaxy 3,” Gunn will also direct the upcoming “Suicide Squad 2.”
