Apple Bans Alex Jones for ‘Hate Speech’, Liberals Celebrate Censorship

In the latest episode of conservative censorship by the political left, Apple has banned InfoWars and Alex Jones from its platform for so-called “hate speech.” .
An Apple spokeswoman confirmed the decision with a statement that says the company ‘does not tolerate hate speech, and we have clear guidelines that creators and developers must follow to ensure we provide a safe environment for all of our users,'” said the Hollywood Reporter. “The statement continued by noting that podcasts that violate those guidelines are removed from the directory, which means they will no longer be searchable or available to download or stream. ‘We believe in representing a wide range of views, so long as people are respectful to those with differing opinions,’ the statement concludes. ”
Legally speaking, “hate speech” does not exist. It is a euphemism for free speech (protected by the First Amendment) that leftists do not like.
“The tech giant has removed five InfoWars podcasts from its iTunes online marketplace,” “The podcasts, which include the Jones hosted War Room, are no longer available via iTunes or Apple’s podcasting app. Only one InfoWars podcast is still available and that is Real News With David Knight, a three-hour radio show that broadcasts on weekday mornings.”
Predictably, the fascist political left is happy with Apple’s decision.
“Thank you, Apple. Not a fan of censorship, but when Alex Jones threatened to shoot Mueller this stopped being about free speech,” tweeted Adam Best founder of political site The Left, in direct opposition to Apple’s statement. “Threats of violence are not First Amendment issues and neither is defamation with provable negligence (like his Sandy Hook conspiracy theory).”

Jones’ “threat” against Mueller was a hypothetical challenge to a duel.
“That’s a demon I will take down, or die trying,” Jones said.
Leftist organization Sleeping Giants accused Jones of harassment for reporting on the Sandy Hook massacre and the Las Vegas Massacre, which apparently is only sanctioned by incurious mainstream cable news outlets.
“Last week, we asked @Apple how the harassment of Sandy Hook parents and Vegas shooting victims didn’t violate their Terms of Service,” the group wrote. “Tonight, they decided that it did. Massive kudos to @Apple for doing what most tech companies have so far refused to do.”

Like or dislike Jones, censorship of a news network ought to be a repugnant thought to anyone who believes in the First Amendment. Leftists, of course, do not believe in the First Amendment – or in any American values – thus the celebration.
