Attorney General Barr Predicts Rioters Would’ve Burned Down Portland Courthouse Without Federal Law Enforcement

Attorney General Bill Barr defended the presence of federal law enforcement at the Hatfield Federal Courthouse in Portland during his testimony before the House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, predicting that left-wing criminals would’ve destroyed the federal facility if it weren’t for federal personnel.

Barr earlier distinguished the violent riot operations from peaceful protests in his opening statement.

“What unfolds nightly around the courthouse cannot reasonably be called a protest; it is, by any objective measure, an assault on the Government of the United States.”

Democrats went on to confront Barr with a series of lengthy, haranguing speeches they tried to forbid the Attorney General- who was present to answer questions- from responding to.

The Portland rioters have been caught in possession of two homemade bombs, and have deployed countless commercial-grade fireworks against the Hatfield courthouse in an attempt to injure the federal personnel protecting it.
