Backlash: NYC’s BLM Leader Against Vaccine Passports, Promises “Uprising”

In a particularly humorous display of members of the left eating each other, the vaccine passport regime implemented in America’s largest city by Mayor and local medical tyrant Bill de Blasio has sparked discontent from what seems to be an unlikely source, namely members of the BLM movement.
According to The Epoch Times, one of the leaders of the BLM group in New York City has lambasted the vaccine passport regime as racist, going so far as to promise an “uprising” should the medical tyranny persist. This accusation of racism appears to come from the statistical fact that American Blacks remain disproportionately unvaccinated against the virus with a 99% survival rate.
Indeed, according to the Empire State’s own government dataset, Blacks are 17.3% of the resident population but represent only 14.4% of the population that has received at least one dose of the vaccine. This is in stark contrast with Asian residents in New York, who represent slightly more of the vaccinated or partially vaccinated population despite being only 9.2% of the resident adult population. In the specific case of NYC, Black residents are the only group where those who have received at least one vaccine dose are a minority of the group’s adult population.
In an aberration of Ayn Rand-like libertarianism, Hank Newsome, one of the co-founders of the Greater New York BLM group, told the Washington Examiner that “I think, in a perfect world, [vaccine requirements] should be business by business. But it could be a slippery slope, so the mandate should be removed completely.”
Newsome went on to add that “It’s not gonna be white men in suits on Wall Street who are gonna get stopped. There’s such hypocrisy in this thing.”
Newsome even gave the NYC government grief on their decision to remove even religious exemptions from the vaccine passport regime. Newsome said, “how dare they remove religious exemptions? It’s the most disrespectful thing I’ve ever seen,” and went even further saying “now the government has decided your God doesn’t matter? I love God.”
Considering the importance of American Blacks as a loyal Democrat constituency, the Democrats of New York and potentially other states appear to be in a bind over their zealotry regarding anything related to covid-19. How they will handle it will very likely determine their political viability in states such as New York as well as being key material in conservative satire.
