Banished Journalist Laura Loomer Rakes in Big League Fundraising Cash for Congressional Run
When banished journalist Laura Loomer announced she was running for Congress as a Republican in Florida’s 21st U.S. House district, her campaign was immediately laughed off by fake news commentators and establishment GOP hacks.
After her the announcement of her initial fundraising numbers, they are laughing no longer. Loomer is raking in money that makes her a legitimate Congressional contender in next year’s election.
Her campaign made the announcement on Tuesday that she had raised over $154,000 in only 60 days of fundraising. She received third quarter donations from 2,314 individuals throughout the country, demonstrating her broad and diverse donor base, with the average donation being $66.
The press release issued by Loomer’s campaign noted that socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has only raised $59,000 in her first two quarters while serving as a Congresswoman. Loomer’s potential opponent in next year’s general election, Democratic incumbent Lois Frankel, raised $107,000 despite being a political veteran.
The success of Loomer’s campaign is showing that there is massive grassroots support behind the journalist, and she is being cancelled by social media because of her effectiveness.
“I’m humbled at the outpouring of support for my campaign,” Loomer said. “Despite the radical left, big tech tyrants and the fake-news media doing everything they can to hinder my campaign, this early showing puts career politician Lois Frankel and the do-nothing Democrats in congress on notice that no seat is safe and that I’m running to win. I look forward to continuing to travel the district and learning the concerns of the voters.”
“Laura is proving that she is a serious candidate and committed to flipping this seat and building the resources necessary to expose just how out of touch with the district Lois Frankel has become. I believe this will be one of the most watched congressional races for 2020 and will be a bellwether for regaining the House,” said Karen Giorno, who served as the Trump presidential campaign’s 2016 Florida state director and now works as chief strategist for the Loomer campaign.
Loomer, who has been a contributor to Big League Politics, was kicked off Twitter last year:
Investigative journalist Laura Loomer has been permanently suspended from Twitter, she confirmed in a conversation Wednesday evening with Big League Politics.
Loomer had more than 200,000 followers on the platform, making her a force to be reckoned with in a medium populated by dullard NPC’s with blue check marks next to their names.
Loomer said that she was banned for a tweet she wrote criticizing Sharia law for oppressing women and men around the world.
Loomer was thrown off of Facebook’s platform in 2018 as well:
A conservative journalist and Big League Politics contributor was banned from Facebook on Sunday in the midst of a purge of prominent right-wing figures by Silicon Valley tech giants.
“Laura Loomer has been unpublished for repeatedly posting things that don’t comply with Facebook Terms,” the site informed Loomer. “Please review Facebook Community Standards to learn more about our policies.”
When fascist tech giants silence users, they never give a concrete reason, only a vague “violation of terms” excuse.
With the success of her campaign, Loomer is showing that Big Tech cannot unperson a dissident using their monopoly power. She will be able to use her fundraising dollars to get the word out about crucial issues as she continues her march to Congress.
