Benjamin Netanyahu Pushed for Massive Crackdown Against Pro-Palestine Demonstrators at US Universities

On April 24, 2024, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called for a clamp down on American university students protesting the  Israeli government’s punitive military campaign in Gaza.

“What’s happening in America’s college campuses is horrific. Antisemitic mobs have taken over leading universities,” Netanyahu declared. His comments were similar to those of President Joe Biden, who labeled the demonstrations as “antisemitic protests.”

At several American universities, law enforcement have arrested and beat back protesters. However, Netanyahu believes that these measures were not enough. “Now, fortunately, state, local, federal officials, many of them have responded differently but there has to be more. More has to be done,” Netanyahu stated.

Former Prime Minister Yair Lapid also pushed for a clamp down on the demonstrations. “What’s happening on American college campuses is unforgivable,” he posted on X. “It is antisemitism, it is support for terrorism, it is support for Hamas which murders LGBT people and oppresses women. The administration cannot stand by, it has to intervene.”

Israel supporters in the US have labeled protests nationwide as “antisemitic.” Netanyahu even went as far to declare that the protesters wanted to “kill Jews.”

“We see this exponential rise of antisemitism throughout America and throughout Western societies as Israel tries to defend itself against genocidal terrorists, genocidal terrorists who hide behind civilians,” Netanyahu concluded.

Such remarks should not be taken seriously by any person who believes in freedom in the US. On top of that, since when should the US take orders from a foreign leaders, especially one from a parasitic state such as Israel?

Any self-respecting American leader would give Netanyahu the cold shoulder and allow for protests to occur so long as they remain peaceful.
