Bernie Sanders Admits: Democrats Are The Party of “Coastal Elites”
Democratic socialist Senator Bernie Sanders admitted that the Democrat Party is the “party of coastal elites” in an interview with talk show host Seth Meyers on Friday night.
“I think it is fair to say that in many ways the Democratic Party has become a party of the coastal elites, folks who have a lot of money, upper-middle-class people who are good people, who believe in social justice in many respects,” said the Vermont Senator.
“But I think for many, many years the Democratic Party has not paid the kind of attention to working-class needs that they should’ve,” Sanders continued. “And that has a lot to do with who funds campaigns, etc.”
The Democratic Party has increasingly placed its levers of powers within a small set of affluent and connected elites. Wall Street oligarchs have flocked to support the candidacy of Joe Biden, donating a whopping $74 million to the Democrat and only $18 million to Donald Trump.
Dissident leftist Glenn Greenwald has recently lamented a union between the establishment-controlled Democratic Party and neoconservatives, corporate media, Fortune 500 corporations and billionaires.
If Biden wins, that's going to be the power structure: a Democratic Party fully united with neocons, Bush/Cheney operatives, CIA/FBI/NSA, Wall St & Silicon Valley: presenting itself as the only protection against fascism. And much of the left will continue marching behind it.

Your grandfather’s Democratic Party is a thing of the past.
