Bernie Sanders Doesn’t Think ICE Should Do Their Job

2020 presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders declared on CBS’s Face the Nation that is “not appropriate” to deport illegal aliens who have broken American immigration laws.
In response to President Trump’s announcement to crack down on illegal immigration, which entails ICE deporting “millions of illegal aliens”, Sanders pushed back against Trump’s suggestion for stronger enforcement.
Next week ICE will begin the process of removing the millions of illegal aliens who have illicitly found their way into the United States. They will be removed as fast as they come in. Mexico, using their strong immigration laws, is doing a very good job of stopping people…….

Margaret Brennan asked Sanders, “There are ICE raids set to start Sunday morning. Estimates of some 2000 people or so who will be targeted, is this appropriate?”
Sanders then responded, “No, it’s not. It is absolutely not appropriate.”
Brennan poked and prodded Sanders even further:
Specifically on this point, the 2,000 who are supposed to be targeted haven’t should be up for court dates. , they’re not following the asylum process, the legal standard when they’re here. So, should they be prosecuted? Should they be deported?
Sanders pushed back, saying, “I don’t like this deportation thing at all, and I think Trump uses this as a beginning to do worse things to come.”
However, Trump decided to not go through with the raids on Saturday, stating,”I want to give the Democrats every last chance to quickly negotiate simple changes to Asylum and Loopholes.”
I want to give the Democrats every last chance to quickly negotiate simple changes to Asylum and Loopholes. This will fix the Southern Border, together with the help that Mexico is now giving us. Probably won’t happen, but worth a try. Two weeks and big Deportation begins!

He continued:

It was later uncovered that the raids might have been pulled back because of leaks originating from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
A Trump administration official commented on this leak:
Leaking the locations and details to stop the operation from happening not only harmed operational integrity, but it put the safety and well-being of his own officers in jeopardy.
The same official added:
The ICE mission is enforcing the nation’s laws and ensuring those who are unlawfully present in the country are removed if ordered by a judge; this will leave an un-erasable mark on his tenure.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez offered her own comments on this immigration drama.
Warning: The Trump admin is expected to begin ICE raids across the country TOMORROW, targeting people for round up.
NOW is the time for us to come together:
– Check in w/ your neighbors
– Share “Know Your Rights” info
– If you see ICE, report to @UNITEDWEDREAM 1-844-363-1423 https://t.co/UgWK0Km3sl— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) June 22, 2019
In a tweet, she warned illegal immigrants to watch out for ICE raids across the country.

As the 2020 elections rapidly approach, we can expect the Left to dial up immigration demagoguery and continue pushing for uncontrolled mass migration.

White Pill: Montana House Moves Constitutional Carry Bill Forward
Constitutional Carry is one ray of hope for the Right.

On January 20, 2021, the Montana House of Representatives passed Constitutional Carry legislation, HB102.
Dean Weingarten of Ammoland.com reported that the bill passed by a 66 to 31 margin.
Weingarten provided some context to the significance of this bill’s progress:
The bill is the accumulation of a decade and a half of struggle against Democrat Governors, who have repeatedly vetoed reform legislation passed with large majorities in the legislature. Numerous sections in the bill show the Montana legislature has learned the lesson from other states as they restore the right to keep and bear arms.
Montana’s Senate is made up of 31 Republicans and 19 Democrats and Governor Greg Gianforte is a Republican, so the passage of this bill augurs well. If passed, HB102 would make Montana the 17th Constitutional Carry state.
Montana is already a very gun-friendly state, and represents a low-hanging fruit for Second Amendment activists to tap into.
Constitutional Carry has been one of the most successful movements on the Right over the past twenty years. It’s easy to complain about the corrupt status quo, but there are still plenty of ways right-wingers can score victories. Constitutional Carry is one of them.
It would behoove the Right to analyze existing trends and build off movements that are already producing results. There’s no need to embark on quixotic campaigns that end up being total fools’ errands. Find what’s already working and run with it.
