Bernie Sanders Hospitalized in Las Vegas After Heart Surgery

On October 2, 2019, Democrat presidential candidate Bernie Sanders was hospitalized Las Vegas with an artery blockage.

His campaign reported that doctors found a blocked artery and inserted two stents.

Sanders’ adviser Jeff Weaver said, “During a campaign event yesterday evening, Sen. Sanders experienced some chest discomfort. Following medical evaluation and testing he was found to have a blockage in one artery and two stents were successfully inserted…”

He continued, “Sen. Sanders is conversing and in good spirits. He will be resting up over the next few days. We are canceling his events and appearances until further notice, and we will continue to provide appropriate updates.”

All of Sanders’ events have been canceled “until further notice.” Additionally, the Sanders campaign is canceling TV ad spending in Iowa.

Sanders’ health given his age of 78 has been a concern throughout this year’s presidential campaign.

He previously hit his head on a glass shower door which required him to receive stitches.

Sanders would like to replicate his 2016 efforts, where he put political correctness and an increased state presence in the state economy as hallmarks of his campaign.

Regardless of his hard leftist views, we wish Sander the best and hope for a speedy recovery.

His presence is needed during the presidential debates to highlight the stark contrast between Trump’s America First and Sander’s Government First visions.
