BEWARE: Madison Cawthorn’s Primary Challenger is an Extreme RINO

In recent weeks, Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) has been plagued with many different scandals and allegations in what appears to be a coordinated effort to destroy his political career.
Cawthorn, a solidly pro-Trump America First Congressman, is being targeted for annihilation. The RINO establishment wants to replace him with Chuck Edwards, a North Carolina state senator with a long voting record of betraying conservative principles.
Before the 2020 presidential election, Edwards voted to approve a bill that allowed for more mail-in and absentee voting to take place. He removed checks and balances that contributed to the theft of the presidency from Donald Trump in the most ghastly crime in U.S. history.
Showing his complete lack of concern about the crucial issue of electoral integrity, Edwards voted for legislation that suspended voter ID requirements. He also voted in favor of a bill that allowed early voting, giving Democrat cheaters another avenue to ballot harvest and steal votes.
Edwards also voted in favor of an anti-transparency measure that would prevent the criminal records of political officials and bureaucrats overseeing elections from being revealed to the public. Edwards is the quintessential Republican politician who opened the floodgates so election fraud could happen on a grand scale in 2020. He has even criticized Cawthorn for supporting President Trump’s crusade for election integrity in the aftermath of the vote steal.
“There’s a right and wrong way to conduct yourself as a legislator,” Edwards tweeted in response to Cawthorn’s remarks that North Carolina patriots should demand action from their lawmakers on election integrity. “And I’m extremely concerned about Congressman Cawthorn’s conduct. As a legislator, I don’t need to be threatened to do the job the voters hired me to do.”

It should come as no surprise to anyone that Edwards denounced Trump supporters after the Jan. 6, 2021 protest at the U.S. Capitol.
“It is past time for political leaders at every level to stop inflaming our differences, and to begin finding solutions,” Edwards said in a thinly-veiled swipe against President Trump.
Edwards is also a favorite of the Never Trumpers at the neoconservative rag, National Review, which claims that Edwards “is everything Cawthorn isn’t,” meaning perhaps that Edwards is the establishment hack that Cawthorn has proven himself not to be as a lawmaker.
While the establishment may have dredged up some bizarre stuff from Cawthorn in an attempt to oust him from office, the alternative would certainly be drastically worse. Edwards would just be another RINO propped up to help Kevin McCarthy keep his grasp on legislative authority. Cawthorn is the clear choice in the race for North Carolina’s 11th Congressional District.
