Biden Wants a Woman as VP to Promote Government-Sponsored Baby Killing

On Sunday, March 15, 2020, 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden promised to name a woman as his vice-presidential running mate.

In addition, the former vice president promised to appoint the first black woman to the Supreme Court if he’s elected. He also indicated that he is no longer against the the Hyde Amendment, which bans the federal funding of abortion except in cases of rape, incest, or when the mother’s life is in danger.

“If I’m elected president my cabinet, my administration, will look like the country,” Biden remarked. “And I commit that I will in fact appoint a – I’d pick a woman to be vice president. There are a number of women who are qualified to be president tomorrow. I would pick a woman to be my vice president.”

Patrick Goodenough of CNS News pointed out that Biden never said the word “abortion,” as he was rationalizing his decision to oppose the Hyde Amendment.  Biden said he is now against the Hyde Amendment because, “if we’re going to have public funding for all healthcare along the line, there is no way you could allow for there to be a requirement that you have Hyde Amendment – a woman who doesn’t have the money could not have coverage under healthcare.”

Biden said he had changed his views on the Hyde Amendment “a while ago.” He also added that as president he would immediately push Congress to pass legislation to make Roe v. Wade, the landmark 1973 Supreme Court decision which legalized abortion, into federal law. During his debate with Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders he boasted about having a 100 percent rating from NARAL Pro-Choice America.

“I am so disappointed in Joe Biden,” tweeted Democrats for Life of America executive director Kristen Day, who is part of a faction of the Democratic Party that has been ignored by the cultural Left.

“He, like so many others, has sold out to the abortion lobby,” Day said. “Apologizing for a record of opposing federal funds to end the lives of pre-born children is shameful. Taxpayer funding of abortion is wrong.”

.In his 2008 memoir “Promises to Keep: On Life and Politics,” Biden said he was “personally opposed to abortion,” but believes that he doesn’t have the right to force “something I accept as a matter of faith” on others.

Despite the media’s labeling of Biden as a “moderate”, he is clearly joining the radical Left on the issue.
