Biden’s Message: Make America Great Again (In Different Words)

Former vice president Joe Biden officially announced his 2020 presidential run Thursday, and so far, his message seems to mirror that of President Donald J. Trump.

“America’s coming back like we used to be,” Biden reportedly said at an event in Delaware.

That message is strangely on par with everything Trump has been saying for the past three years. His slogan, Make America Great Again, employs the same message.

Even Biden’s campaign slogan is oddly similar to Trump’s.

“Our best days still lie ahead,” his campaign website says.

If America’s worst days are behind it, the implication is that Biden will make it better in the future. Some – like our current President – might characterize that as making America great.

Biden officially announced his 2020 bid Thursday morning. He was immediately smacked by Trump.

Big League Politics reported:

Thursday morning, President Donald J. Trump welcomed former vice president Joe Biden to the 2020 presidential race, shortly after Biden announced his candidacy.

“Welcome to the race Sleepy Joe. I only hope you have the intelligence, long in doubt, to wage a successful primary campaign. It will be nasty – you will be dealing with people who truly have some very sick & demented ideas. But if you make it, I will see you at the Starting Gate!” he said.

Trump likely chose the nickname because Biden appeared to have a snooze during late Sen. John McCain’s funeral.

Biden is the frontrunner in many Democratic Party polls, edging out Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), who is followed by South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg, a surprising upstart candidate.
