Bill Barr Pushes Back Against Trump, Criticizes President’s Comments on Stone, Drops Case Against McCabe

Attorney General Bill Barr is asserting his independence and distancing himself from President Trump’s agenda, criticizing Trump’s comments about the Roger Stone case and dropping charges against disgraced former FBI spook Andrew McCabe.

“I think it’s time to stop the tweeting about Department of Justice criminal cases,” Barr said to ABC News Chief Justice Correspondent Pierre Thomas.

“I’m not going to be bullied or influenced by anybody … whether it’s Congress, a newspaper editorial board, or the president,” Barr said. “I’m gonna do what I think is right. And you know … I cannot do my job here at the department with a constant background commentary that undercuts me.”

This came in response to President Trump calling out the deep state’s railroading of his long-time confidant Roger Stone.

Trump has also hammered McCabe, the disgraced former FBI Deputy Director, for his alleged leaking in order to drive the Russian collusion investigation that yielded no evidence that Trump and the Russians worked together. He also admitted lying to the FBI and apologized for it, according to a report from the New York Post.

Despite his foul behavior, Barr’s office announced today that the federal case against McCabe would be dropped.

“We write to inform you that, after careful consideration, the Government has decided not to pursue criminal charges against your client, Andrew G. McCabe,” wrote prosecutors J.P. Cooney and Molly Gaston at the behest of U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, Tim Shea.

“Based on the totality of the circumstances and all of the information known to the Government at this time, we consider the matter closed,” they added.

McCabe is gloating and playing the victim as a result of the dropped charges.

“I have to say that as glad as I am that the Justice Department and the D.C. U.S. Attorney’s office finally decided to do the right thing today, it is an absolute disgrace that they took two years and put my family through this experience for two years before they finally drew the obvious conclusion and one they could have drawn a long, long time ago,” he said while appearing on CNN, where he is paid to spread deep state propaganda.

“At long last, justice has been done in this matter,” McCabe’s attorneys Michael Bromwich and David Schertler said in a statement. “We said at the outset of the criminal investigation, almost two years ago, that if the facts and the law determined the result, no charges would be brought. We are pleased that Andrew McCabe and his family can go on with their lives without this cloud hanging over them.”

Barr is making it clear that he is his own man, which is disconcerting considering his record of working under globalist former president George H.W. Bush. Barr also has said that dead pedophile Jeffrey Epstein killed himself, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. It doesn’t appear at the current Attorney General will be draining the swamp any time soon.
