‘BORING’: President Trump To Skip The White House Correspondents Dinner

President Donald Trump is skipping the White House Correspondents Dinner in 2019 as he has done in past years.

“The dinner is so boring and so negative,” President Trump said on his way to the border Friday, as reported by the Washington Times.

While the D.C. reporters enjoy each others’ company without the president, Trump plans to convene a competing rally so his supporters can watch Trump instead of the vitriolic Correspondents’ Dinner ceremony.

A historian named Ron Chernow is speaking this year instead of a comedian after Michelle Wolf’s vindictive routine at the 2018 dinner.

BLP reported last year:  Comedian Michelle Wolf has lost the support of the White House Correspondents Association following her disastrous performance at this weekend’s Correspondents Dinner.

Wolf’s vulgar attacks on Sarah Sanders and Kellyanne Conway proved too much for many viewers. Wolf’s terrible set was made worse by Sanders’ dignified blank looks at the comedian during the performance.

Wolf first appeared on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah in 2016, but was listed as a former cast member when she appeared at the White House.

The Correspondents head Margaret Talev from Bloomberg defended Wolf on CNN, but then backed off that defense in a statement. People are sick and tired of gross so-called liberal entertainers mouthing off with no professional consequences.

Talev stated:

“Last night’s program was meant to offer a unifying message about our common commitment to a vigorous and free press while honoring civility, great reporting and scholarship winners, not to divide people. Unfortunately, the entertainer’s monologue was not in the spirit of that mission.”
