BREAKING: Dr. Oz Scrubs Website, Social Media Of Trump Branding After Winning Republican Primary

Many Republicans were stunned when they heard that Dr. Mehmet Oz was endorsed by President Trump for Pennsylvania’s Senate race.

The host of the Human Events Daily podcast, Jack Posobiec, was one of the main challengers of this endorsement, saying there are many reasons for Americans to doubt Oz’s credibility when he claims to be a strong political conservative.

”We went in. And so we’ve seen these new interviews where Dr. Oz suddenly at long last has decided that he’s a conservative,” Posobiec said on his show. “And so I said, ‘You know what, I want to check the record on that.’ So we went to the record. I gotta tell you, folks: This guy does not have a conservative record.”

It turns out many of those accusations are proving to be true after Oz has ditched all branding related to Trump, whose endorsement ultimately catapulted him to victory.

There were 70 plus tweets about Trump from Oz between endorsement and primary, but there have been zero since then. In addition, there have been no new ads that feature Trump, and Oz has even gone as far as to scrub the former President from his social media profiles and his website’s home page.

According to a Tuesday report from Axios, Trump was a “near-ubiquitous fixture” in the Oz campaign’s advertisements. Oz and his team ran Trump-centered ads on Google and Facebook. But now the phrase “endorsed by President Trump” has been removed virtually everywhere.

The new cover photo on Oz’s Twitter account says, “Thank you, Pennsylvania” on a solo photo of the candidate that used to host Oz with Trump.

According to spokesperson Brittany Yanick to Axios, however, “the endorsement is the first endorsement listed on our website and we changed the banner to thank Pennsylvanians after the recount was completed.”

Some Republicans were very wary of the Trump Oz endorsement from the very beginning. They did not believe Oz’s stances on gun rights and abortion were authentic, with some resurfacing videos showing a difference in Oz’s opinion just a few years prior.

In one of the most prominent examples (once again brought to light thanks to Posobiec), Oz praised China for its Covid-19 lockdowns.

“And the Chinese numbers dropped dramatically which is fantastic news, and it’s also valuable for us to understand why they were able to do that,” Oz gleefully explained.

Axios also noted that Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R-VA) used the same tactic of distancing himself from Trump during his recent campaign against Democratic nominee Terry McAuliffe. Towards the end of the campaign, Youngkin focused on issues such as education and the economy.
