BREAKING: Head of U.S. Central Command Says a Dozen US Troops Killed, 15 Injured In Kabul Bombing

On Thursday U.S. Central Command Head General McKenzie said that 12 U.S. servicemen were killed and 15 injured in two suicide bombing attacks in Kabul by Islamic State militants.

“A number of Afghan civilians were also killed and injured in the attack,” said General Kenneth McKenzie.

McKenzie also stated that the US rescues in Kabul will continue despite the Islamic State attacks.

“We continue to execute our number one mission, which is to get as many evacuees and citizens out of Afghanistan. ISIS will not deter us from accomplishing the mission,” he said.

Reporting from Fox News’ Jennifer Griffin indicates that the Taliban may be broadcasting propaganda to its citizens regarding the attack, falsely claiming the explosions were carried out by American forces to destroy their equipment.

Joe Biden has garnered criticism from many for the Taliban’s sudden rise following his administration’s incompetent withdrawal from Afghanistan, with his approval ratings plummeting to historical lows.
