Allison Gollust, the CNN executive in a relationship with former network head Jeff Zucker, has resigned after an investigation concluded that both had violated company policies, New York Post reported.

Gollhust’s extramarital relationship with disgraced former CNN CEO Jeff Zucker is well documented; reporting by The Post claimed that the two lived in the same apartment complex, albeit different units, ever since Zucker helped Gollhost move in back in 2019.

“Based on interviews of more than 40 individuals and a review of over 100,000 texts and emails, the investigation found violations of Company policies, including CNN’s News Standards and Practices, by Jeff Zucker, Allison Gollust, and Chris Cuomo,”  Kilar wrote in the memo.

Kilar reportedly stated that the investigation kicked off in September and concluded last weekend.

“I realize this news is troubling, disappointing, and frankly, painful to read.  These are valid feelings many of you have,” Kilar wrote.

Gollust blasted WarnerMedia’s decision to publicly announce her resignation before she could do so herself. According to a statement obtained by CNN, Gollust claimed the announcement was made to retaliate against [her] and change the media narrative in the wake of their disastrous handling of the last two weeks.”

“It is deeply disappointing that after spending the past nine years defending and upholding CNN’s highest standards of journalistic integrity, I would be treated this way as I leave. But I do so with my head held high, knowing that I gave my heart and soul to working with the finest journalists in the world,” concluded the former CNN executive and Jeff Zucker misstress in what may already be considered the most ironic statement of 2022.

News of Gollust’s departure from the company comes after former CNN CEO Jeff Zucker resigned from the network in disgrace earlier this month after admitting that he intentionally hid his multi-year extramarital affair with Gollust.

However, some claim that Zucker left the network for different reasons. A recent statement to The Wall Street Journal by a spokesman for Chris Cuomo has casted doubts against Zucker’s claims; they say his departure goes far deeper — it was “never about an undisclosed relationship.”
