BREAKING: Taliban Calls For Peace Between Russia And Ukraine

A statement put out by Taliban Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Abdul Qahar Balkhi indicated that the Taliban government of Afghanistan is calling on Russia and Ukraine to “resolve the crisis through dialogue and peaceful means” in wake of their ongoing conflict.

The situation remains developing. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appears to be growing more desperate; a video was released Friday featuring the head of state making an emotional plea to the Russian people to not wage war upon his country.

“Our main goal is peace in Ukraine, and the safety of our citizens, of Ukrainians,” the president said in an unverified English translation of the video.
