Bush Speechwriter Clings to Mueller Report, Russian Hoax Narrative

Neocon David Frum, the former George W. Bush speechwriter turned NeverTrumper and Hillary cheerleader, is not having an easy time digesting Attorney General Barr’s report on Mueller’s failed Russia Hoax investigation.

Despite the fact that the Russian collusion narrative has been proven to be a hoax, members of the pundit class like Frum have been drinking the kool-aid for so long they just can’t seem to give it up.

Naturally, Frum took to Twitter to deny reality in a series of Tweets that are quite literally the opposite of the truth of the matter.

These tweets accompanied an op/ed published by The Atlantic that contains so many distortions and untruths that it suggests that this mental midget may be having a mental breakdown of sorts.

“Good news, America. Russia helped install your president,” Frum wrote to start his column. “But although he owes his job in large part to that help, the president did not conspire or collude with his helpers. He was the beneficiary of a foreign intelligence operation, but not an active participant in that operation. He received the stolen goods, but he did not conspire with the thieves in advance.”

Frum is deliberately light on the context because the facts do not back up his claims. Even the Trump-hating Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein admitted that the idea of Russia instilling Trump as President was preposterous last year while announcing indictments related to Mueller’s witch hunt.

“There is no allegation in this indictment that any American was a knowing participant in this illegal activity. There is no allegation in the indictment that the charged conduct altered the outcome of the 2016 election,” Rosenstein said in Feb. 2018.

Frum was just getting started, as he would stoop to new lows with his bitter, deranged invective.

“The Trump presidency from the start has presented a national-security challenge first, a challenge to U.S. public integrity next. But in this hyper-legalistic society, those vital inquiries got diverted early into a law-enforcement matter. That was always a mistake, as I’ve been arguing for two years,” Frum wrote.

The real challenge to national security was the multi-trillion dollar Iraq War, which was the handiwork of former President George W. Bush. Frum wrote many of the speeches that tricked the public into accepting the necessity of the illegal, unconstitutional invasion that empowered terrorists throughout the Middle East.

He remains one of the most shameless Iraq War apologists to this very day:

The real challenge to public integrity were Bush-era policies that eviscerated the Constitution. The NSA’s ubiquitous spying program on all Americans was enabled by the Patriot Act. Torture was deployed on detainees to coerce false information from them as the pretense to drive endless war. The border was abdicated and immigration law ignored for an amnesty push for illegals. Trump is trying to undo Bush’s damage to make America great again.

Frum’s concluding statements were perhaps his most absurd of all.

“Trump remains a president rejected by more Americans than those who voted for him, who holds his job because a foreign power violated American laws and sovereignty. It’s up to Congress to deal with this threat to American self-rule,” Frum said.

What Congress should be doing is holding war criminals and violators of the Constitution accountable for their heinous actions. Frum would be near the top of the list, as he wrote the propaganda that allowed Bush to commit so many illegal atrocities.

A great deal of blood remains on Frum’s hands, and perhaps the Sword of Damocles hanging over his head is what is making the reviled faux-conservative lose his composure so publicly and pathetically.
