Canadian Regime Copies the Netherlands With Similar Plans to Cut Fertilizer Use

In the last weeks, brave farmers in the Netherlands have protested their globalist government’s plan to slash nitrous oxide emissions. These farmers believed that such a move would ruin their livelihoods.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau wants to emulate Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte’s government by implementing a plan to slash emissions from fertilizer, which produces significant amounts of nitrous oxide.

Back in 2020, Trudeau’s Liberal Party rolled out their plan to reduce fertilizer emissions by 50% over the course of 8 years.

Fertilizer Canada criticized the government’s “short-sighted approach. According to Jarryd Jaeger of The Post Millennial, Fertilizer Canada argued that reducing nitrogen fertilizer use “will have considerable impact on Canadian farmers’ incomes and reduce overall Canadian exports and GDP.”

Meyers Norris Penny (MNP), one of Canada’s largest accountancy firms, issued a report that claimed government-sponsored fertilizer reduction could cost Canadian farmers roughly $48 billion by 2030 and reduce crop yields.

At this point, “yield gaps for three major crops are estimated at 23.6 bushels per acre per year for canola, 67.9 bushels per acre per year for corn, and 36.1 bushels per acre per year for spring wheat.”

According to a report by the Toronto Sun, fertilizer is generally the item with the highest cost for farmers. Under the Trudeau regime’s plan, Canadian farmers will likely be compelled to use more expensive “green” fertilizer. Consumers will ultimately have to bear the higher costs of using more expensive “green” fertilizer.

Canada already showed its true political colors when it decided to tyrannically crack down on truckers protesting the Wuhan virus vaccines earlier this year.

Now, it’s only cementing its globalist status by putting forward a plan that would not only wreck the livelihoods of hard-working farmers, but also put further financial pressure on the country’s working class.
