CDC Says Wear A Mask To Prevent Normally Sexually-Transmitted Monkeypox

Where have we heard this one before? The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has upped fear over the monkeypox virus; an announcement from the agency on Monday is now urging mask-wearing as a method to help avoid infection with the virus.

It is worth noting that the disease generally does not spread in the air. In fact, it appears the most common method of spread of the virus is during homosexual intercourse, according to the CDC.

“Cases of monkeypox have been reported in Europe, North America, South America, Africa, Asia, and Australia,” the CDC wrote in its announcement.

“Some cases were reported among men who have sex with men. Some cases were also reported in people who live in the same household as an infected person,” it added.

The monkeypox virus appears to be facing an unprecedented outbreak as a consequence of men having sex with each other at European raves, explained former World Health Organization emergencies department head Dr. David Heymann.

“We know monkeypox can spread when there is close contact with the lesions of someone who is infected, and it looks like sexual contact has now amplified that transmission,” said Heymann.

“It’s very possible there was somebody who got infected, developed lesions on the genitals, hands or somewhere else, and then spread it to others when there was sexual or close, physical contact,” Heymann postulated. “And then there were these international events that seeded the outbreak around the world, into the U.S. and other European countries.”

Many people are now claiming that this viral outbreak was predicted, pointing to a 2021 international simulation centered on a monkeypox pandemic beginning on May 15, 2022 — the same week media outlets reported the start of the first international outbreak of the disease.

A similar tabletop exercise predicting a coronavirus pandemic by the name of Event 201 was released in 2019. The simulation, led by The Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security in partnership with the World Economic Forum and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, predicted unprecedented global cooperation in an alleged attempt to stop the virus from spreading. Methods included in the exercise included draconian lockdown-esque measures involving the utilization of state power to stop the movement of people as well as face-to-face business interactions worldwide.
