Chairman of the Texas Republican Party Endorses Former President Donald Trump

Matt Rinaldi, the chairman of the Texas Republican Party, recently announced his endorsement of former President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election cycle.

In a post that he published on X, Rinaldi endorsed Trump and emphasized his support for David Covey, who is currently running a primary challenge against House Speaker Dade Phelan.

In Rinaldi’s announcement, he also called on Texas GOP vice chair Dana Myers to also follow in his footsteps with respect to these endorsements. Myers will be challenging Rinaldi to assume the chairmanship of the Texas GOP.

“While party officials should remain neutral in primaries absent extraordinary circumstances, the threat our nation faces from the Democrats, globalists, and fake Republicans that hand power to Democrats is truly extraordinary. We need everyone in this fight,” Rinaldi declared in a written statement.

Back in September, the Texas GOP passed a resolution urging Phelan to step down as speaker, alluding to the failed impeachment attempt against Attorney General Ken Paxton and his support for putting Democrats in key leadership positions in several committees in the Texas State House.

In a post on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, Myers proclaimed that she is a firm supporter of Trump and stressed that she backed the former president “long before Matt Rinaldi’s late & desperate endorsement.”

The vote for the next chair of the Republican Party of Texas is slated for their biennial convention, which will be held from May 23 to 25 in San Antonio.

Rinaldi is one of the most solid liberty conservatives in Texas politics. Ever since he began representing Texas House District 25, Rinaldi has left his mark as one of the most vocal right-wing firebrands in the Lone Star State.

As Texas GOP chair, Rinaldi continues to show off his strong policitsl instincts as evidenced by his endorsement of Trump.

Other Texas Republican officials should take Rinaldi’s lead and fully support Trump in 2024.

Say what you want about Trump, his policies of immigration restriction are key in keeping Texas red given that mass migration is a scheme engineered by Democrats to secure their political hegemony.
