Chicago Man Charged With Two Counts of Felony Robbery For Stealing 14-Year Old’s Bike: “You’re a Racist”

A Chicago man has been charged with two counts of felony robberies, for two alleged events that occured on Tuesday. Isaac Lacey is accused of stealing a bicycle from a fourteen year old boy. He allegedly told the child that “you’re a racist, and you won’t do s***” as he stole the bike from the child’s hands outside of a Logan Square bike shop.

Lacey then went on to ride the bike north, eventually approaching a group of people who were standing outside of a home. He asked for a cigarette, and allegedly ripped a woman’s phone from her hands, going to to challenge one of her male associates to a fight. He supposedly chickened out when he saw a Chicago police cruiser coming down the street, returning the phone and trying to flee. The two individuals standing outside of the home identified Lacey as a thief when he was detained by the Chicago police officer responding to the bicycle robbery.

The 14-year old child would go on to confirm that the bike Lacey was caught riding had been stolen from him only minutes before.

Crime in the city of Chicago has exploded in the year 2020 and in the wake of the George Floyd riots, with the city’s looting and mass criminal activity being some of the worst in the country.

Lacey has been charged with two counts of felony robbery, and is being held in jail on a $100,000 bond.

Shameful that society has reached the point where crimes against children are justified on the basis of their supposed prejudice.
