Christmas Caller Claims No Ill Intent In ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ Joke Repeated By Joe Biden

An Oregon father who saluted President Joe Biden on a livestream with “Let’s go, Brandon” during the annual White House NORAD Santa-tracking phone call says it was simply “a joke,” according to a report out of the Oregonian.

“Merry Christmas, and let’s go, Brandon,” Jared Schmeck exclaimed during the call, referring to the popular anti-Biden regime phrase to express dissatisfaction with the man after the pair wished each other a Merry Christmas.

“Let’s go Brandon, I agree,” replied an enthusiastic Joe Biden, who likely had no idea what was going on at the moment in time.

“At the end of the day, I have nothing against Mr. Biden, but I am frustrated because I think he can be doing a better job,” the father of four and former cop told the Oregonian.

Schmeck posted a video displaying part of the call on YouTube before it quickly went viral.

“I thought it would be automated. We just waited on hold and then they answered,” he told the Oregonian. “And I thought, ‘wow, this is real.’”

“I understand there is a vulgar meaning to ‘Let’s go Brandon,’ but I’m not that simple-minded, no matter how I feel about him,” Schmeck explained to the newspaper. “He seems likes he’s a cordial guy. There’s no animosity or anything like that. It was merely just an innocent jest to also express my God-given right to express my frustrations in a joking manner … I love him just like I love any other brother or sister.”

Schmeck also refused to apologize for the remarks, saying he “stood 100% behind what [he] did and what [he] said,”

The Oregon dad explained that radicals have levied threats towards him following the exchange, receiving what the Oregonian described as “vague but threatening phone calls.”

“[N]ow I am being attacked for utilizing my freedom of speech,” Schmeck said.

Schmeck is not the only person in America repeating the viral ‘Let’s go Brandon,’ phrase, with a group of Americans in Mayfield, Kentucky joining in the fun after Biden arrived to survey tornado damage in the state following a serious bout of deadly weather.
