Chuck Grassley Claims Mike Pence Will Not Proceed Over Electoral College Certification Tomorrow…Then Backtracks?

Vice President Mike Pence is no longer expected to preside over the certification of the electoral college votes on Wednesday, according to a statement by Senate president pro tempore Chuck Grassley (R-IA).

Grassley has said that he expects to handle the proceedings with Pence being absent, and he will keep an open mind:

However, Grassley quickly backtracked in an official statement, casting a specter of confusion over the entire proceeding:

It is unknown who will lead the certification process tomorrow, but Pence has been showing through his recent actions that he may have folded to the vote steal coup against the Bill of Rights and Constitution.

Big League Politics has reported on how Pence has quietly opposed President Donald Trump’s push for electoral integrity while paying lip service to the cause in public:

Vice President Mike Pence has asked a federal judge to toss a lawsuit that would compel him to reject dubious electors in battleground states rife with electoral fraud.

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) filed the lawsuit with other strong conservatives to broaden Pence’s powers so he could be the last line of defense to stop the vote steal. Pence is doing everything in his power to abdicate his responsibility.

“A suit to establish that the Vice President has discretion over the count, filed against the Vice President, is a walking legal contradiction,” a Department of Justice lawyer representing Pence wrote in a filing.

With institutional power intent upon allowing the vote steal to take place, desperate Trump supporters have come to see Pence as their final lifeline. However, Pence’s history shows that he was never fully on board with the MAGA agenda…

Unfortunately for Trump supporters, it does not appear that Pence will be exercising his duty to stop electoral fraud. He seems to be another Benedict Arnold coward in a GOP chocked full of them.

After feeling the heat from Trump’s supporters, Pence acquiesced and said that vote fraud evidence would be heard in Congress on Jan. 6.

“Vice President Pence shares the concerns of millions of Americans about voter fraud and irregularities in the last election,” wrote Mark Short, Pence’s chief of staff, in a prepared statement.

“The Vice President welcomes the efforts of members of the House and Senate to use the authority they have under the law to raise objections and bring forward evidence before the Congress and the American people on January 6th,” the statement added.

The American people will see what Pence is made of tomorrow, as he will show himself to be either a patriot or a pauper based on the courage he shows combating the vote steal.
