CIVIL WAR: Whoopi Goldberg Defends Nancy Pelosi, Tells AOC Not To B*tch About Her

The Democrat civil war between House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is heating up, with The View’s Whoopi Goldberg coming to Pelosi’s defense in a fiery segment.
Goldberg repeatedly slammed Ocasio-Cortez for her suggesting Pelosi is racist for singling her out, and gave the freshman congresswoman a brief lesson in how to build coalitions in government.
Early in the segment, Joy Behar asked Goldberg whether she considered Ocasio-Cortez accusing Pelosi of racism was a wise move, prompting Goldberg to uncharacteristically claim the issue had nothing to do with race.
“I don’t think this had to do with color,” declared Goldberg. “I think this is more, I don’t know, B.S.” The comedian also added that the spat between Pelosi and Ocasio-Cortez is “annoying to people.”
She also said that she has “a problem with how all these young women started out when they were accusing older Democrats like myself of not getting what needed to be done in the country”, especially failing to consider the many achievements and activist activities Pelosi has under her belt as a 79-year-old congresswoman.
“You’re on the shoulders of a whole bunch of people who came before you,” said Goldberg. “You have to stop discounting that.”
Meghan McCain, daughter of deceased Sen. John McCain, also came to Pelosi’s defense, saying she admired that she is still in government when she could be “retired” with her “children and grandchildren.”
McCain also gave advice to Democrats, suggesting they stop infighting, as it will make them weaker to Republican challengers and President Donald Trump, prompting Behar to declare the president a fascist.
Perhaps not surprisingly, McCain agreed with Behar, labeling President Trump a fascist.
Goldberg then seemed to slam supporters of Ocasio-Cortez, as well as the freshman.
“Women of color, watch me right now,” said Goldberg, looking into the camera. “Let’s keep this in mind. Do you think Nancy Pelosi wanted to pass a half ass bill? No. The moderates were the problem, and I would say to these women, ‘Did you sit these moderates down and say listen, we’ve got to put this together.'”
Goldberg concluded, “And if you’re not going to do that, you’re not allowed to b*tch about this.”
This move from Goldberg to stop accusing people of racism without evidence is unexpected, considering Goldberg famously missed several days of The View earlier this year, when photos of Behar in blackface began to resurface across the Internet.
