CNN’s Chris Cuomo Admits Network Not “Worth My Time”

CNN morning anchor Chris Cuomo seemed to trash his own news network during an segment on his SiriusXM radio show, stating that his primetime show with the channel wasn’t “worth my time” and seeming to recognize that the channel peddles little more than reactionary partisan drivel.

I don’t want to spend my time doing things that I don’t think are valuable enough to me personally,” said Cuomo, describing his recent experience recovering from coronavirus as reorganizing his political priorities. “I don’t value indulging irrationality, hyper-partisanship.

I don’t like what I do professionally. I don’t think it’s worth my time.”

One of CNN’s primary on-air personalities admitting that his professional work isn’t worth his time isn’t exactly a strong endorsement of the quality of the network’s content.

Cuomo went on to recount a bizarre interaction he had with a man he describes as a “jackass, loser, fat tire biker” on Easter Sunday, claiming the man harassed him at his home and stating that he couldn’t respond in the manner he wanted to because of his employment with CNN.

I want to be able to tell you to go to hell, to shut your mouth… I don’t get that doing what I do for a living.” Cuomo said that being able to mouth off to fat bikers is more important to him than his prestigious job with the liberal news network.

Cuomo’s desire to express himself in a candid fashion is somewhat understandable. It’s likely that CNN boss Jeff Zucker keeps him on a tight leash, with Cuomo having previously exploded at a member of the public for calling him ‘Fredo.’

Cuomo appears to be recovering after a diagnosis of coronavirus. He’s the brother of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.
