Covington Catholic High School will be closed Tuesday after authorities told administrators it was unsafe for students to be on campus.
“After meeting with local authorities, we have made the decision to cancel school and be closed on Tuesday, January 22, in order to ensure the safety of our students, faculty and staff,” said a letter from school principal, Robert Rowe, according to Fox19.
“All activities on campus will be cancelled for the entire day and evening. Students, parents, faculty and staff are not to be on campus for any reason. Please continue to keep the Covington Catholic Community in your prayers,” the letter continued.
Days after the mainstream press falsely accused the several students from the school of “racism” by purposefully playing out of context videos, the school community is still feeling the blowback.
Originally, the establishment conservative media jumped on the leftist media bandwagon, bashing the boys. Most of them have apologized for their hastiness. Some in the left wing media are coming around, too, including S.E. Cupp of CNN, who apologized on Twitter, not to the boys, but for “reacting too quickly.” Most of the left wing press is either dodging an apology, or still actively in attack mode despite the exculpatory evidence.
As Tucker Carlson said in an epic monologue Monday night, the elite media simply could not help themselves. They just had to prove that they were our moral better. In doing so, they neglected the most basic responsibility of their job, providing context around the incident.
Now, because of press malfeasance, the boys’ personal lives have been thrust into chaos and their school must be closed out of fear of physical violence.
