Cruz: Red “Tsunami” Coming-

On Monday, Texas Senator Ted Cruz predicted an “astonishing” win for Republicans in November’s midterms elections, calling it a red “tsunami.”

“I think a lot of Americans are regretting voting for Biden,” Cruz argued.

“[Americans] look at the galloping inflation, as they look at gas prices going through the roof, as they look at crime rising across the country, as they look at the chaos at our southern border — a whole lot of people are thinking back; Gosh, maybe mean tweets are not the worst thing on planet Earth,” he continued.

“I think it’s not just going to be a wave. I think it’s going to be a tsunami. I think Republicans will retake both houses of Congress because people across the country are recognizing the path we’re on doesn’t make any sense. It’s not working,” he said emphatically.

Cruz isn’t the only one anticipating landslide wins from Republicans in November.

On Sunday, former President Donald Trump also predicted a “red wave” in the upcoming elections.

“The Silent Majority is stronger than ever before, and they are angry at what is going on with our Country,” Trump said in a statement.

“Get out and VOTE for MAGA/KAG in November like your life depends on it (which it does).” he added.

These predictions come as many Democrats are worried about their party’s chances in the midterms, especially after recent losses in special elections.

As The Hill points out, “Republicans have won every special election since Biden took office.”

Incumbent Republican U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz also reiterated this enthusiasm for the GOP on Tuesday, saying in front of a crowd, “I think we’re going to have a red wave.”

Kellyanne Conway, however, has a warning for Republicans to “not to get cocky.”

Conway, a close adviser to former President Trump, told Fox News that Republicans “cannot get complacent.”

“We have to remember in 2018, everybody said it was a blue wave. And it turned out to be more of like a blue trickle,” Conway said.

“So let’s not get cocky about this red wave. It is there. But we have to turn out our vote.” she added.

Current polls show unfavorable outcomes for Democrats. For instance, a recent ABC News/Washington Post poll found that only 38 percent of respondents approved of Biden’s handling of the presidency.

And a Gallup poll also showed that 54 percent of Americans disapprove of how Democrats in Congress are doing their job.

These numbers don’t look good for the Democratic Party, and with Cruz, Trump, and Gaetz predicting a red wave in November, it looks like the GOP is feeling confident about their chances at taking back power.
