Czech Prime Minister: Only Increased Birthrates Can Prevent the Extinction of Europeans

While speaking at the fourth annual Demographic Summit in the Hungarian capital last week, Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš spoke out against liberal policies which promote mass migration as a way to solve Europe’s aging population problem, saying that the only way to prevent the extinction of European peoples is for governments to adopt policies which encourage young people to have more children.

“Mass and uncontrolled migration to Europe has nothing to do with the sustainability of our European society — quite the contrary. The only truly sustainable solution against the extinction of Europe is to increase the birth rate of the indigenous population, which is a path shared by the V4 countries,” said Czech Prime Minister Babiš.

In addition to the Czech prime minister, the conservative, family-oriented summit featured several notable executives, including Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who hosted the event, U.S. Vice President Mike Pence, President of Serbia Aleksander Vucic, and Slovenian and Slovakian prime ministers.

Topics discussed throughout the event mainly honed in on ways to stimulate population growth by making it more affordable for young people to start families, something that the Hungarian government – led by Viktor Orbán – has worked hard to realize for many years now.

Increasing Hungary’s birthrate has been made a top priority for Orbán, with his national-conservative government putting into effect a variety of tax cuts, credits, and programs which have resulted in higher marriage rates increased birthrates, and fewer divorces – policy outcomes which Fox News host Tucker Carlson continuously lauded

Former U.S. Vice President Mike Pence, who was also present at the Budapest conference, gave a few remarks, saying: “You can support families, or you can support open borders. You can’t support both.”

“For our civilization to prosper, if we’re to pass on the rights and the freedoms and the values that we cherish to the next generation, our highest priority must be to preserve renew and strengthen the families upon which our nations and our civilization have been built,” Pence continued.

“I believe it’s no coincidence this restoration of the family is taking place in Hungary and in Poland and in countries throughout the region; I think it’s happening here for a reason,” the former VP added.
