California Forty Eighth District Republican Congressman Dana Rohrabacher is finally pulling ahead after a dead heat for a while with his Democrat opponent.

John Gizzi reports on a new poll released Sunday: “Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R.-Calif.,  pulled ahead by a healthy 9-percentage point margin in the latest TPStrat poll. TP Strat’s latest figures show Rohrabacher, 70 and a congressman for 30 years, leading Rouda by 50.7 to 41.6 percent.  The margin of error is 4.7 percentage points.”

Rohrabacher’s opponent Harley Rouda took a pretty big hit when he was caught on tape saying illegal immigrants should be entitled to receive Medicare For All, which he supports — much like Bernie Sanders.
