David Hogg Encourages Protests At US Embassies Across The Nation This Weekend

March For Our Lives founder David Hogg is no stranger to controversial takes on Twitter. Now, he’s encouraging protests at US embassies.

On June 11, there is a protest being organized at the Washington Monument. It is an event in partnership with the American Federation of Teachers and the National Education Association.

It intends to “de-normalize” gun violence in America. And is expected to parrot many of the left-wing gun control talking points that are flooding public discourse in the wake of the tragic Uvalde massacre.

Expected topics include; raising the enhanced background checks, red flag laws, raising the age to purchase a firearm to 21, and waiting periods.

According to Axios, there are over 100 March for Our Lives events planned in 45 states on June 11.

“You can help us get action on gun violence- hold a march outside your US embassy June 11th demanding our government do something about gun safety,” Hogg wrote on Twitter on June 4.

“The more protests we can get outside US embassies the better,” he added. “We must make the fact that our government has done nothing to protect our kids even more of an international embarrassment.”

David Hogg was a student at Florida’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School during the 2018 shooting that killed 17 people. Since then, he has become a talking piece for the left when it comes to gun control in America.

Most notably, Hogg has used his political influence to help create the youth-oriented, gun-control organization March For Our lives.

In February, Hogg took a leave of absence from his position to compete against Mike Lindell’s MyPillow with his own pillow company, Good Pillow. The project failed miserably.

During an interview with Oprah Winfrey about the upcoming June 11 event, Hogg said, “we need people to show that we’re not going to accept this as normal.”

“If we can stop one more Parkland or save one more future astronaut or honor roll student or T-ball player, it’s worth it,” Hogg added. “I refuse to believe that as a country, we have to accept mass shootings and daily gun violence and gun suicides constantly.”

Gun control has evolved into a hot topic for the left in recent weeks with many Democrat pundits and celebrities calling on the American people to “do something” to combat firearm violence in the U.S.

Actor Matthew McConaughey recently gave an “emotional” response to gun control at the White House Tuesday afternoon. Then was interviewed with Fox News anchor Bret Baier soon after where he said Democrats want “the whole loaf” when it comes to restricting gun rights, but that they are willing to just “take a slice” this time around – WATCH:
