Defense Department Watchdog Admits Pentagon Has No Policy for Tracking UFO Discoveries

In a report published by the Defense Department Inspector General on January 25, 2024 the Pentagon apparently has no formal method to report or survey sightings of track flying objects.
In the last few years, government officials have made noise about a alleged appearances of UFOs, which has brought about speculation of the existence of extraterrestrial life
The report does not mention that speculation and provided no novel analysis concerning the videos the Defense Department disseminated in 2020 showcasing objects apparently flying at high speed and moving in a manner that goes against the basic laws of physics.
Those encounters threw off the national security establishment and sparked accusations that the government was covering up these UFO sightings.
The report specifically said that a two-year investigation reached the conclusion there was no “comprehensive, coordinated approach” to address what the military calls “unidentified anomalous phenomena,” or UAP.
The Defense Department “has no overarching UAP policy and, as a result, it lacks assurance that national security and flight safety threats to the United States from UAP have been identified and mitigated,” the inspector general stated.
Back in congressional hearings that were held in July, three former military officers talked about alleged UFO encounters involving high-tech, unidentifiable flying objects. One even accused the US government of secretly hiding extraterrestrial wreckage.
The inspector general’s report did not provide details about previous sightings and offered no explanations for what these objects might have been.
This latest round of drama with respect to UFOs is a sign of how weird politics in the US has become.
When the US border is collapsing, the US’s social fabric is fraying, and its empire is completely overstretched, the last thing public officials should be talking about is UFOs.
This kind of talk is a distraction at best.
