DEMOCRAT CIVIL WAR: Lefty Journalist Wants Feinstein to Resign After ‘Climate Change’ Confrontation

A contributing writer for The Intercept called for the resignation of Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) after Feinstein told schoolchildren that she would not support the “Green New Deal” as proposed by freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

“Diane [sic] Feinstein should resign,” Kate Aronoff said Friday afternoon on Twitter.

Aronoff sent the Tweet hours after Feinstein was confronted by schoolchildren lobbying for the Green New Deal on behalf of their liberal teachers, who appear to have brainwashed the little rug rats.

The children were concerned that the world would end in 12 years – as has often been stated by supporters of the deal – if Feinstein did not take action. Unfortunately for the kids, they learned a difficult lesson: Democrat politicians don’t give a damn about their constituents, only about their power.

Feinstein struggled to balance responding to the children’s concerns without throwing Ocasio-Cortez totally under the bus. The young, outspoken socialists in the Democratic Party have started a cold civil war that is likely to turn hot during the Democratic Party presidential primary.

“I’ve been doing this for 30 years,” Feinstein said to the children. “I know what I’m doing. You come in here, and you say it has to be my way or the highway. I don’t respond to that. I’ve gotten elected. I just ran – I was elected by almost a million vote plurality, and I know what I’m doing. So, you know, maybe people should listen a little bit.”

Democrats can’t seem to get on the same page on the issue of climate change.

Some legislators, viewed typically as the more radical of the bunch, believe that scientists have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that the death of the planet is imminent. Others like Feinstein, viewed as more mainstream, disagree.

Which faction of the Democratic Party will come out on top is anyone’s guess. Until then, sit back, relax, and enjoy the fireworks.
