Democratic Utah congressional candidate Tom Taylor welcomed his newborn daughter into the world by placing an anti-President Trump “pussy hat” on her head while he wore a pussy hat himself.
The robotics engineer running against Republican incumbent Rep. Mia Love in Utah’s Fourth District had a daughter named Colette born on January 20, the day of the annual Women’s March to protest President Trump.
Taylor used the opportunity to share his first progressive pastime with his new child: wearing pink pussy hats in public.
“Colette, You were born on the day of the 2018 Women’s March when millions declared they will stand up against a president that openly brags about assaulting women. Things are scary now, but we’re shaping the future to make the world a better place for you,” Taylor wrote on Facebook.
“Welcome to the Resistance. Love, Dad. P.S. Excuse my poor knitting skills; I’m still learning,” Taylor added.
