Democrat Megadonor Ed Buck Charged With Sex Trafficking Felonies

Disgraced Democrat political donor Ed Buck was charged with federal sex trafficking offenses on Tuesday, months after he was arrested and charged with three counts of battery inflicting serious injury, maintaining a drug house, and administering methamphetamine.

Two men, both black, have been previously found dead of drug overdoses at Buck’s Los Angeles home, where it’s alleged that he injected them with crystal meth for his own sexual gratification.

The Department of Justice announced that Buck would be charged with four new counts, two of allege he enticed victims for interstate prostitution. The DOJ press release describes Buck as having “engaged in a pattern of soliciting men to consume drugs that Buck provided and perform sexual acts at Buck’s apartment, which is a practice described as “party and play.”Buck allegedly solicited victims on social media platforms, including a gay dating website, and used a recruiter to scout and proposition men.

One interstate prostitution charge pertains to his alleged enticement of 26-year-old Gemmel Moore, one of the men who was found dead at Buck’s apartment from a drug overdose.

A community activist in Los Angeles described Buck’s pattern of behavior at a rally urging state prosecutors to charge the former LGBT activist for his role in the deaths of the two men.

It’s clear that there’s a pattern and a practice of Ed Buck to prey on vulnerable, young black gay men who are homeless, who are HIV positive, who he can manipulate with his money — and they end up dead inside his house, said activist Jasmyne Cannick. “No matter what Ed Buck’s attorney tries to spin it and say — it is very clear that Ed Buck plays a role in these young men’s deaths. He needs to be stopped.

Buck has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to prominent Democrat candidates, such as Hillary Clinton, Adam Schiff, and Ted Lieu.
