DeSantis Slams Biden as Inflation Hits
DeSantis Slams Biden as Inflation Hits –Sunshine State Republican DeSantis slammed Biden on Tuesday for being “content watching people suffer” as inflation hits a 40-year high.
Inflation is at a 40-year high of 8.5% due to federal policies of borrowing & printing money at unfathomable levels & bad energy policy, which is hurting Floridians.
Biden could unleash domestic energy production to provide relief. Instead, he is content watching people suffer.

DeSantis Slams Biden as Inflation Hits
DeSantis tweeted, “Inflation is at a 40-year high of 8.5% due to federal policies of borrowing & printing money at unfathomable levels & bad energy policy, which is hurting Floridians.”
Adding, “Biden could unleash domestic energy production to provide relief. Instead, he is content watching people suffer.”
Now, DeSantis is proving to be a leading voice in the demand for answers and accountability from Biden who has continued to gaslight Americans through a lack of transparency. Some say his declining poll numbers have something to do with it.
According to the consumer price index, inflation has increased 8.5% from just 12 months ago. Which is notably higher than the Dow Jones estimate of 8.4%.
Many Americans have noticed Biden and his administration adamantly aim blame the nation’s astronomical economic woes on Russian President Vladimir Putin. Even looking to promote the “Putin’s Price Hike” narrative through TikTok influencers.
This, of course, painted a clear picture of where the administration’s priorities lie, with Americans feeling manipulated above all else.
On Tuesday, CNBC noted the historically high inflation, stating “Increases in the indexes for gasoline, shelter, and food were the largest contributors to the seasonally adjusted all items increase. The gasoline index rose 18.3 percent in March and accounted for over half of the all items monthly increase; other energy component indexes also increased. The food index rose 1.0 percent and the food at home index rose 1.5 percent.”
The report continues, “The data reflected price rises not seen in the U.S. since the stagflation days of the late 1970s and early ’80s. March’s headline reading in fact was the highest since December 1981. Core inflation was the hottest since August 1982.”
On Monday, White House press secretary Jen Psaki admitted the administration was expecting a bad CPI number. Once again, she blamed Putin for this expectation, “we expect March CPI headline inflation to be extraordinarily due to (Russian President Vladimir) Putin’s price hike.”
It’s worth noting that inflation had been surging prior to Russian’s invasion of Ukraine and the United States’ decision to stop importing all Russian oil.
Moreover, Americans care about why everything they are trying to buy is more costly. Yet the White House, and their clear messaging problem, has failed to address those concerns in a clear, understandable way.
As more time goes on, Republican leaders ought to demand answers from this administration even more. DeSantis has been setting this tone. Now it’s time for others to follow his lead.
In a recent statement, DeSantis said “No one should have to experience the pain of inflation, especially not seniors on a fixed income.”
He continued, “The Biden Administration’s policies are causing prices to skyrocket and making life more expensive for Florida families.”
Biden has so far failed to provide any sort of relief or transparency to Americans who are struggling under his watch. DeSantis is right to hold him accountable. Hopefully, other GOP leaders will do the same.
