DESPICABLE: Deep State Bureaucrats are Named Time Magazine’s ‘Guardians of the Year’

The fake news honors the swamp for undermining the will of the people.

Time Magazine has awarded the title of “Guardians of the Year” to deep state bureaucrats who are attempting a coup against President Donald Trump and trying to overturn the 2016 presidential election.

The cover for the magazine specifically highlights former National Security Council official Dr. Fiona Hill, former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, National Security Council’s Director of European Affairs Alexander Vindman, and acting U.S. ambassador to Ukraine Bill Taylor as heroes for delivering testimony to the House impeachment hearing against President Trump.

“One of the remarkable aspects about their efforts—from Ukraine hands like Marie Yovanovitch and Bill Taylor to more obscure government employees like the analyst or Mark Sandy—is that as deeply as they may have felt about the dangers of the President’s actions, they observed their duty as nonpartisan members of the Executive Branch. None of them broke the rules to try to counter him,” the article reads.

The article adds to the narrative that these poor career Washington D.C. swamp rats are simultaneously heroes and victims, with their fragile feelings being crushed by the added scrutiny of the impeachment inquiry.

“Sitting in TIME’s Washington bureau not far from the White House, one official, on the verge of tears, called the past few weeks the most difficult of a long career, with the scrutiny affecting family and colleagues,” the article reads.

“After the President’s public attacks on Yovanovitch and Taylor, others lived in fear of a Trump tweet. The official White House account posted a tweet questioning Vindman’s judgment. Hill received death threats ahead of her hearings. Taylor’s wife worried that a far-right extremist might show up at their home in Virginia with a gun,” the article adds.

The article also whines about the safety of the whistle-blower, now widely believed to be CIA analyst Eric Ciaramella, and his attorneys, citing unnamed death threats that could very well be another phony hate hoax.

“Initially, the analyst planned to testify in person, but as some Republicans backed the push to unmask their client, Bakaj and another lawyer on the case, Mark Zaid, advised against it. The identity of the analyst remains undisclosed, but some Trump supporters are issuing threats. Bakaj and Zaid declined to comment about the whistle-blower’s safety; both attorneys say they have themselves received death threats that are being investigated by the FBI,” the article reads.

The article concludes with the insulting implication that these deep state bureaucrats lived up to their oath to the Bill of Rights and Constitution.

“In the Trump era, amid virulent partisanship and calls for blind loyalty, it can often seem the space for dissent is shrinking,” the article reads. “The fate of the public servants caught up in the Ukraine saga remains uncertain. Whatever Congress does with impeachment, the treatment of those who kept their oath will answer one essential question, asked in offices around the country: ‘What do I do now?'”

In addition, Time Magazine has named teenaged enviro-tyrant Greta Thunberg their Person of the Year:

Child environmental activist Greta Thunberg has won the TIME Person of the Year for 2019, defeating the Hong Kong Freedom Protesters and other contenders including lesbian soccer star Megan Rapinoe, the anti-Trump Ukraine Whistleblower, and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg…

Thunberg won the award despite the fact that participants in an online poll overwhelmingly chose the Hong Kong freedom protesters to be named “Person of the Year.” The Hong Kong freedom protesters are putting their safety at risk in fighting back against totalitarian China while Thunberg travels lavishly and hobnobs with world leaders.

Thunberg joins such luminaries as Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin, Palestinian terror leader Yasser Arafat, Islamic despot Ayatollah Khomeini of Iran, and President Barack Hussein Obama in winning this prestigious award.

It’s a good thing that fake news rags like Time Magazine have drastically waned in relevance and will soon be defunct.

As Trump Leaves Office, Media Cites Ineffectiveness of Lockdowns and Democratic Leaders Display Eagerness to Reopen

Right on cue.

With President Donald Trump’s impending exit from the White House, many are starting to perceive pivots from Democratic leaders and the mainstream media on the ineffectiveness of lockdowns and the reopening of society.

For example, Newsweek ran an article Thursday titled “COVID Lockdowns May Have No Clear Benefit vs Other Voluntary Measures, International Study Shows.” The study, published in the European Journal of Clinical Investigation, found through a mathematical model that there was “no clear, significant beneficial effect of [more restrictive measures] on [COVID-19] case growth in any country.”

This is just one study, of course, so it may not reflect objective reality any more than one study which concludes that lockdowns saved “millions of lives.” But after getting bombarded with messages from the media that lockdowns were necessary—with the opposite message found only on explicitly conservative outlets like Big League Politics—it may seem too coincidental to see such a story while the changing of the presidential guard takes place.

Not only that, it also comes at a time when some Democratic leaders appear to be chomping at the bit to reopen restaurants, bars, and schools—after several months of harsh insistence that they all must stay closed in the name of “safety” and “public health.”

On Monday, for example, Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York called for the reopening of the state’s economy “smartly and safely.”

“We simply cannot stay closed until the vaccine hits critical mass. The cost is too high. We will have nothing left to open. We must reopen the economy, but we must do it smartly and safely,” Cuomo tweeted.

Mayor of Chicago Lori Lightfoot put out a similar call on Thursday, saying that bars and restaurants need to reopen “as quickly as possible” because it will help those businesses survive and reduce the number of large private parties and gatherings.

And incoming president Joe Biden recently pitched a $175 billion plan to return children to school, $130 billion of which would be for public elementary, middle, and high schools, the other $35 billion for colleges and universities. Many teachers unions stubbornly refused to return to in-person classes for the longest time, but now that Biden has come out in support of in-person classes, don’t be surprised to see them suddenly change their tune.

The left is so predictable, isn’t it?
