Disney Flexes by Hosting Major LGBT Rights Summit in Florida After Ron DeSantis Restored Their Tax Breaks

Disney is sticking it in the face of Florida Republicans, hosting a major LGBT rights summit on their resort after compelling Governor Ron DeSantis to restore their tax breaks.
The event, which is centered around empowering the LGBT community to bully employers into promoting their agenda in the workplace, is being put on by the group, Out & Equal. It will take place in September. Disney has committed to hosting the conference in 2024 as well.
The event will be sponsored by massive globalist corporations, including McDonald’s, Walmart, Hilton, Boeing, Cracker Barrel, Apple, Uber, Amazon and John Deere. The State Department and CIA will have booths at the event as well.
The message is that Disney has won, the LGBT movement is soaring, and DeSantis’ token measures have done nothing except to embolden them and coalesce more support around their social agenda.
Big League Politics reported on DeSantis caving to Disney, quietly restoring their tax breaks while posturing dishonestly to his constituents like he put the woke corporation in their place:
“Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is folding to woke Disney, pushing a bill in the state legislature to quietly restore their special tax breaks after posturing publicly against the megacorp.
DeSantis is making the capitulation even as he and RINO Republican leaders in the state claim that they are punishing Disney – the exact opposite of what is happening.
“The bill maintains the current tax-exempt status of property of the district and bonds issued by the district,” the analysis of DeSantis’ measure states.
DeSantis is using sleight of hand to claim he is cracking down on Disney when he is really giving them what they want and enabling Disney’s campaign contributions to fill Republican coffers in the years to come.

The bill strips a bunch of powers from Reedy Creek – but they are powers Reedy Creek has never used or hasn't used in 50 years.

The only difference is that the governor of Florida will ultimately be in charge of all this stuff, rather than Disney itself.
