Establishment “Pro-Gun” Lobbies Are Advancing Gun Control in Georgia

Georgia Gun Owners has confirmed that establishment gun groups are working to sell-out gun owners.

According to GGO, two Georgia Republican State Senators and establishment gun groups such as the NRA and Georgia Carry are in support of SB 150, an anti-due process gun control bill.

State Senator Brian Strickland and State Senator William Ligon have go on record in defense of this bill.

Senator Strickland said: “The bill was supported by the NRA and Georgia Carry as a pro-2nd Amendment bill.”

Senator William Ligon said: “The National Rifle Association, Georgia Carry, as well as prosecutors and sheriffs, all worked with our Republican leadership . . . ”

In a video, a woman testified in favor of SB 150 revealing she had spoken with some sort of “NRA counsel” and they expressed their support for SB 150.
Things took a turn for the worst earlier this week when Senators Strickland and Ligon joined 5 other Republicans by voting in favor of SB 150, the Georgia Lautenberg Domestic Gun Ban, which substantially expands the scope of the federal Lautenberg Domestic Gun Ban of the 1990s.

Many gun owners believe the Lautenberg Gun Ban has disarmed more Americans than any other piece of gun control legislation in American history.

The passage of Georgia’s version of the Lautenberg Gun Ban should should keep gun owners in red states on guard.

We must remember that the push for gun control has dialed up since 2017, with red states like Florida capitulating to the anti-gun pressure when then Governor Rick Scott signed SB 7026 into law—Florida’s most expansive gun law in recent history.

Hopefully, Georgia avoids the same fate as Florida and puts SB 150 out of its misery.
