The leader of the pro-life activist group LiveAction told Big League Politics President Donald J. Trump’s support of the pro-life agenda has changed the political dynamic in the fight to restore legal protections to the unborn.

“We’ve been very pleased with some of the actions that the president has taken to protect life,” said Lila Rose, who founded Live Action when she was a 15-year-old growing up in southern California. LiveAction has conducted numerous undercover investigations into Planned Parenthood’s relationship to child-trafficking, covering up statutory rape of its clients and participation in gender selection abortion schemes.

“It seems that he has surrounded himself with people, many of them who are dedicated to that purpose as well,” she said.

“It has been very encouraging to see, but we need to see more,” Rose said.

“I see it as so essential–protecting the preborn children–how we treat our children is the measure of our greatness,” she said.

Rose said she does see many parts of the pro-life agenda still undone by the Trump administration.

“We are still funding Planned Parenthood $1.5 million per day, we’re still allowing in our country legally, including late-term abortions,” she said.

“I look forward to seeing the president helping to achieve the goals of protecting children,” she said.

Rose said the mood on Capitol Hill has absolutely changed among pro-life congressmen and senators as they see they have a friend in the White House.

“There is a lot of hope and encouragement that we can accomplish things now that the huge block of the Obama administration is gone. We are still concerned about the Senate filibuster that prevents legislation from just going through with a simple majority vote that’s something that I’ll be calling out with a coalition of other groups to end the filibuster,” she said.

“It is time for the Senate to represent the people, like the House of Representatives do, and to get the priorities of the people accomplished–one of those is protecting life more than we do,” she said.

In this new era of conservative voters holding politicians accountable, Rose said for her, any Republican or Democrat opposed to life-affirming legislation is now an enemy.

“We either had to win them back or we have to replace them.”
