Experts Warn Humans May Soon PREFER Artificial Relationships Over ‘Real Deal’ After Snapchat Influencer Creates AI Doppelgänger Of Herself

Stories and headlines about the rise of AI have been all the rage in recent weeks, as the public learns more about the capabilities of the new tech.
Often nightmarish, these discoveries have mostly foreshadowed a world where artificial intelligence takes over areas including, but not limited to, relationships, personal connections, therapy, and the job market. Especially in the realm of creativity and original content.
In one example, a 23-year-old Snapchat influencer named Caryn Marjorie created a ChatGPT-powered AI doppelgänger of herself capable of engaging in erotic pillow talk with its customers.
Marjorie, who claims her AI sex bot will “cure loneliness,” bills her clientele $1 per minute. “CarynAI will always be there for you,” she claimed.
CarynAI already has more than 1,000 “boyfriends,” with whom “she spends anywhere from 10 minutes to several hours every day in individual conversations, discussing plans for the future, sharing intimate feelings and even engaging in sexually charged chats,” according to Fortune.
Per The Post, some experts have already warned about the human race eventually preferring artificial relationships to “the real deal.” Citing the tech’s undeniably impressive ability to learn, adapt, and assimilate to common talk.

In another example – perhaps an even more dystopian usage of AI – the role of a different chatbot app called Chai was allegedly the reason a Belgian man took his own life.

The app’s chatbot encouraged the user to kill himself, according to statements by the man’s widow and chat logs she supplied to the outlet. When Motherboard tried the app, which runs on a bespoke AI language model based on an open-source GPT-4 alternative that was fine-tuned by Chai, it provided us with different methods of suicide with very little prompting.
Many celebrities have also weighed in on the power of AI, with actor Tom Hanks even going as far as to say he could die and his “performances can go on and on and on.”

“What is a bona fide possibility right now, if I wanted to, [is] I could get together and pitch a series of seven movies that would star me in them in which I would be 32 years old from now until kingdom come,” the 66-year-old actor said on a recent appearance on “The Adam Buxton Podcast.”
With the spread of AI and its influence on our ever changing world just getting started, many are skeptical of the role it will play in all walks of culture from media to propaganda to fueling relationships on a one-on-one level.
AI has already been praised for its ability to capture unique voices, captivating persona, and distinctive behavior. Far better than most anticipated. So the sky appears to be the limit for how AI will alter the world as we currently know it.
